Invasion: Neo Earth 0.5.5 update – new key controls

I’m happy to announce that with V0.5.5 we have new keyboard shortcuts, plus bugfixes and minor improvements. I hope these will improve the smoothness of gameplay for most people.

Keyboard controls:

WASD / arrow keys: move battle camera

Hold ‘End’ or Spacebar: Change turn/phase

‘ + / – ‘ : zoom camera in and out

*Bugfix for scrolling on higher res screens
*Improvements to sfx plus new sfx for machine guns
*Improvements to default balance of audio
*Updated explosion animations and boss animations

Changes are now live and can be experienced in the current Steam demo

Invasion: Neo Earth 0.5.1 update + Steam release

Greetings turn-based strategy fanatics!

Retro-styled alien busting strategy game Invasion: Neo Earth just got a new update with version 0.5.1

These improvements have been added to the demo which you can now try out on SteamItch and Gamejolt ahead of the full version launch on January 28th via Steam.

Version 0.5.1 includes:

– Improved FX animations

– Additional soundtrack pieces added (battle theme ‘Filament’ and boss theme ‘Red Machine’)

– Re-vamped save system and autosaving of options choices (full game-only)

– Minor bugfixes and running improvements

Invasion: Neo Earth release reveal – 28th January 2022

Good news for fans of alien-busting retro turn-based strategy..
The date is set- Invasion: Neo Earth is coming to Steam on January 28th 2022!

Inspired by strategy titles such as X-Com and Advance Wars, Invasion: Neo Earth is all about battling the B-Movie alien armies of the sinister Sectyd race, to a soundtrack of Synthwave and Metal.

With a demo already up on Steam as well as Itch, now is a great time to try your hand at commanding Earth’s brave defenders against the alien hordes!

Invasion: Neo Earth also has a soundtrack perfect for fans of big guitar riffs and retro synths, with new music recently added in the latest update..check out the new boss theme music –

Invasion: Neo Earth – new 0.5.0 build

Greetings to those brave few who have tried the demo and to anyone new to Invasion: Neo Earth, I’m happy to announce a new update to the game that can now be enjoyed either on Steam or Itch.io!

New Features:

– Movement and shooting ranges now shown with highlighted tiles when a unit is selected

– New multi-viewpoint sprites added for all units

– New enemies ‘Bomber Saucer’ and ‘Soldier Zombie’

– New enemy teleport spawning system that makes is easier to plan your attack than before

I look forward to hearing any feedback you might have on this new version of the game. Invasion: Neo Earth will be coming to Steam this Winter!

Steam demo and big update for Invasion: Neo Earth

A new major update plus Steam demo is now live for my retro sci-fi turn-based strategy game Invasion:Neo Earth.

New features with 0.4.0:

  • Camera zooming (using up arrow to zoom in, down arrow to zoom out)
  • New multi-directional sprites for both human and alien units
  • Faster enemy turn sequence
  • Updated level map designs for better tactical gameplay
  • Multiple bug fixes and balancing improvements to combat system

Invasion: Neo Earth coming to Steam in Winter of 2021

Good news for fans of alien-busting turn-based strategy games – Invasion: Neo Earth is coming to the Steam platform for PC this Winter.

Though you can now wishlist Invasion:Neo Earth on Steam, that’s not the end of the story! There are big plans for plenty of tasty future content updates throughout the life of the game – goodies such as new maps, new units, new enemies, seasonal themed updates and maybe even an extended soundtrack.

For those who’d like to try the game first, a browser-playable demo is still up on Itch.io and Gamejolt and you can keep up with development on twitter by following iao_dev

Invasion: Neo Earth 0.2.1 patch + video

Version 0.2.1 changes include:

-Improved scrolling (smoother, less overly sensitive)

– UI text background texture redesign

– Slight time delay added between damage and death animations so frames do not merge

– New sound FX for explosions

– Mute music option added to options menu

Update 0.2.0 – New Demo!

Update 0.2.0 is here, a re-vamped playable browser demo is out now with all the features of the latest build. Strategically blasting the alien menace right off the surface of Neo Earth has never looked (or played) so good!

0.2.0 Features:

-New vehicle class ‘skimmer’ added, Jetbikers and Grav Tanks can now move over water

-Improved sprite design for ‘Analog’ enemy

Bugfixes:

-Sped up sluggish damage text

-Jet engine sound fx now working
